Scripture Text:
Acts 16:25 (NIV) About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and
singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. 26
Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the
prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody's
chains came loose. 27 The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors
open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the
prisoners had escaped. 28 But Paul shouted, "Don't harm yourself! We
are all here!" 29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell
trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 He then brought them out and asked,
"Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31 They replied, "Believe
in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household." 32
Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his
house. 33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their
wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized. 34 The jailer
brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with
joy because he had come to believe in God--he and his whole family.

Who are God’s millionaires? Paul and Silas.
They are the ones who have a Savior named Jesus.
They are the ones who have a heavenly Father.
They are the ones who are living with Jesus on a daily
basis.
They are the ones who are in jail because they were
preaching about Jesus.
They are the ones who while in jail for their faith were
praising, praying, and singing.
They are the ones who don’t have many earthly
possessions, but millions in heaven.
They are the ones who are following Jesus now and they
will follow Him when they die.
They are the ones who have believed the Lord Jesus with
their life.
They are the ones who have asked Jesus to save them.
They are the ones who are serving Jesus now.
They are the ones who are living for him.
They are the ones who have been baptized and now they
serve a new King.
They are the ones who have picked up their cross and are
going with Jesus down the road to Calvary.
They are the ones who love others the way that Jesus has
loved them.
They are the ones who treat others as Jesus has treated
them.
They are the ones who remember the Heavenly Father and
ask him to help.
They are the ones who receive divine intervention because
they asked.
They are the ones who trust in God’s deliverance from
all of life’s storms.
They are the ones who are always trying to serve God no
matter who is around.
They are the ones who have millions in heaven.
They are the ones who remember that there is more to life
than what we see here.
They are the ones who have chosen Jesus as their only
life line.
They are the ones who are his disciples.

How can I become like one of them?
What must I do to be saved? (like
Paul and Silas) Here are the
choices of the Philippian jailer.
a.
Believe on the Lord Jesus and you will be saved – you and
your household
b.
Be good. Many
people hope that if they are good enough then they will make it to heaven.
c.
Take your own life. Many
have given up hope and decided to go their own way through life. But there is hope and there is a life line you can take.
d.
Hope for the best? Many
decide to not take a chance and walk away with what they have.
God has so much more to give you if you will take a chance to become a
heavenly millionaire. If you hope
for the best you will fall short without the only life line that can carry you
across the gap.

Can you take a lifeline? The
answer is yes you can, but be careful which lifeline you choose…
Why not take a 50/50? You
may still end up with the wrong answer. What
about polling the audience? It is
a proven fact that the majority of people who vote a particular direction can
still be wrong. What about
phoning a friend? Who will you
call? You need to call someone who knows about the subject.
How about calling on Jesus? Jesus is the only friend who you can call
who will be able to save you. If
you decide to take his advice, then you will be on the right way to become a
heavenly millionaire.
4.
Will you believe on the Lord Jesus?
To believe on the Lord Jesus and be baptized meant that the jailer
would become a new man. He could
no longer serve himself or Caesar. He
would now have a new king who was Jesus.
He would become like Paul and Silas.
Many know of God and Jesus, but few are those who ever choose to take
the only true-life line of Jesus. Those
who choose to be saved and become a disciple of His are the true Heavenly
Millionaires. They have all that
Jesus has to offer and he holds nothing back from his beloved.
The Bible says that the devils also believe.
James 2:19 (NIV) You believe
that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder. 20
You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is dead?
21 Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did
when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and
his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what
he did.
Do you have the kind of faith that is living or the kind that is dead?
Living faith is the type of faith that the jailer had. Dead faith is
the kind the demons have. The jailer believed in the Lord and wanted to follow him. The
demons believe in the Lord but they don’t want to follow him.
The Jailer came to Paul and Silas and asked them to show him how to be
saved. He was baptized; he washed
their stripes from the beating he had given them.
He became a follower of the Lord.
He became a heavenly millionaire.
Many say they want to go to heaven, but there are few that want to
follow Jesus. If you say that you
believe is that enough? Do you need to follow the Lord through you life?
Call on the only true life line today and become one of his disciples.
Then you will become a heavenly millionaire.
