As the Lord promised His people the Jews, He promises
today to give us hope and a future at a time when many are hopeless.
The future of the church is our future.
If you have received the Lord and go with Him in your life then you are
the church. This is your future
that we are talking about.
1. Don’t
fear the future. Fear God and
trust Him to take us to the Promised Land.
Rom. 8:38 (NIV) For I am
convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the
present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor
anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of
God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. He
loves you and will never lead you astray.
Change is ever increasing but God is still the same.
God is faithful to us. Will
we be faithful to Him?

Don’t forget the future. God
has made plans. Go with Him. Seek
God’s will and God’s way for the life of the church.
Make daring plans as He guides and directs. We have done it before and we can do it again.
The Lord has brought us here and He will take us into the future if we
will intentionally go with Him. Remember
who He is.
Jer. 29:11 (NIV) For I know the
plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and
not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Don’t face the future
without God. Face God first.
God cannot and will not be
overcome with the forces of evil. So,
let’s depend on Him to carry us through the future.
God’s church, which faces God and then the world, will thrive in the
work He has called us to do. We
can’t go on without him. We
don’t want to just survive in the world, but we want to thrive for Him.
Let’s agree to face Him and then to face the task at hand. What is that task? To
make disciples of all nations beginning with our community.
What is the future?
The future of the church is what God will make us when we go with Him.
