20 Rules of Wisdom for life in 2005 from Kaye Mann…  In light of the Tsunami…
1. God wants spiritual fruit, not religious nuts.
---------------------------------------------------------------
2. Dear God, I have a problem, it's me.
---------------------------------------------------------------
3. Growing old is inevitable, growing UP is optional.
---------------------------------------------------------------
4. There is no key to happiness. The door is always open.
---------------------------------------------------------------
5. Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.
---------------------------------------------------------------
6.You do the math. Count your blessings.
---------------------------------------------------------------
7. Faith is the ability to not panic.
---------------------------------------------------------------
8. Laugh every day, it's like inner jogging.
---------------------------------------------------------------
9. If you worry, don't pray. If you pray...don't worry.
---------------------------------------------------------------
10. As a child of God, prayer is kind of like calling home everyday.
---------------------------------------------------------------
11. Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.
---------------------------------------------------------------
12. THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS IN YOUR HOME ARE THE PEOPLE!
---------------------------------------------------------------
13. When we get tangled up in our problems, be still; God wants us to
be still so He can untangle the knot.
----------------------------------------------------------------
14. A grudge is a heavy thing to carry
----------------------------------------------------------------
15. He who dies with the most toys is still dead.
----------------------------------------------------------------
16. We do not remember days, but moments. Life is moving too fast - so
enjoy your precious moments.
----------------------------------------------------------------
17. Nothing is real to you until you experience it, otherwise it's
just hearsay.
----------------------------------------------------------------
18. It's all right to sit on your pity pot every now and again. Just
be sure to flush when you are done.
----------------------------------------------------------------
19. Surviving and living your life successfully requires courage.
The goals and dreams you're seeking require courage and
risk taking. Learn from the turtle, it only makes progress
when it sticks out its neck.
20. Be more concerned with your character than your reputation,
because your character is what you really are, while your reputation
is merely what others think you are.

Here the story of a man named Job.  Job was man who said that He saw his Redeemer.  I say that we can see the Redeemer in Job.  Can God be seen living in us even when the Tsunamis of life come?  A tsunami hit a man of God by the name of Job.  He lost everything and even his health.  See Job’s reaction to the problems that came.

Job 1:20 At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship 21 and said: "Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked I will depart. The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised." 22 In all this, Job did not sin by charging God with wrongdoing….Job 19:21 "Have pity on me, my friends, have pity, for the hand of God has struck me. 22 Why do you pursue me as God does? Will you never get enough of my flesh? 23 "Oh, that my words were recorded, that they were written on a scroll, 24 that they were inscribed with an iron tool on lead, or engraved in rock forever! 25 I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.  26 And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; 27 I myself will see him with my own eyes--I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! 28 "If you say, `How we will hound him, since the root of the trouble lies in him, 29 you should fear the sword yourselves; for wrath will bring punishment by the sword, and then you will know that there is judgment.

Job was a righteous man who was praised by God Himself.  But Satan was allowed to put Job through the trials of fire.  How did Job score on his life test?  Satan’s contention was that Job was living for God because God had blessed him.

Would Job still live for God when the testing came?

Is God Alive when the storms come and the tsunamis strike?   God was there and seen through the lives of the survivors who continue to search for the lost.  Do we continue to search for the lost?

Will God be seen in 2005?  Will we live for God as Job did?

Will we try to bring our family and friends before the Lord as Job did?

Will we look for God or will we blame Him?   Do we need Him and want Him?

Will God’s love be seen in 2005?  Will we believe in 2005?  Will we trust in 2005?

Will we be faithful in 2005 even when it seems that God isn’t?

Will others see the Lord in us/ church /homes /jobs?  Is God Alive in us and in our church?  Will you see Him in life and in death?  Job’s friends urged Him to admit His failure.  Will our friends see God in us in 2005?  Job’s wife urged him to give up, but he wouldn’t give up on God?  Why not?  Job believed in God with His life?  His God was God.  Is God your God?
