Psal 85:6 (KJS) Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

Introduction: What is a prescription for Revival? Three Things are needed for revival in the church. Let a few good people in the church get together and pray for it. Let a few good people get together with God and get right with Him. Let a few good people get together with the Will of God for their lives and put themselves at God call. 1. Jesus would say we need PRAYER

2Chr 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. {which...: Heb. upon whom my name is called}

2. Jesus would say we need Faithfulness Rom. 12:1-2

Rom. 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [which is] your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We need faithfulness in Church attendance and church support.

A Nashville newspaper carried a tongue-in-cheek story about Mrs. Lila Craig who hasn't missed attending church in 1,040 Sundays although she is in her eighties. The editor commented, "It makes one wonder, what's the matter with Mrs. Craig? Doesn't it ever rain or snow in her town on Sunday? Doesn't she ever have unexpected company? How is it that she never goes anywhere on Saturday night so that she's too tired to attend the worship service the next morning? Doesn't she ever 'beg off' to attend picnics or family reunions, or have headaches, colds, nervous spells, or tired feelings? Doesn't she ever oversleep or need time to read her Sunday newspaper? Hasn't she ever become angry at the minister or had her feelings hurt by someone and felt justified in staying home to hear a good sermon on the radio or TV? WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH MRS. CRAIG ANYWAY?

3. Jesus would say we need Love John 13:15

We need a good fellowship that uplifts Christ and each other.

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

4. Jesus would say we need Cooperation 1 Cor. 3:9

To accomplish the work of the Lord we need to work together.

Mark 2:3 (KJS) And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. 1Cor 3:9 (KJS) For we are laborers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, [ye are] God's building.

5. Jesus would say we need to have a Personal Revival

2Tim 1:12 (KJS) For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. {believed: or, trusted}

WHAT WOULD JESUS HAVE YOU TO DO?

Would Jesus have you to pray to be saved?

Would Jesus have you to rededicate?

Would Jesus have you to work with others?

Would you come to let God fill you up?
