Who is this man called Jesus? What is his name?

What's in a Name? According to a newspaper item, James Williams of Beaumont, TX,

promised his wife Cosandra that she could choose the name for their baby girl. "Just

before we got married, Cosandra told me that she wanted our child's first name to

contain parts of every family name ever used," said Williams. "I didn't think it was too

great an idea, but I agreed to compromise. We decided I would name the boys and she

would name the girls."Early in September Cosandra had a baby girl. The baby is called

Jameshauwnell, short for an unpronounceable, 1,019-letter conglomeration of letters (as

in The Calgary Herald, Sept. 19).

In the case of Mary and Joseph, the angel gave the name of the child

to be born of Mary by the Spirit of God. The angel instructed Joseph that the child

was to be called Jesus, a name full of meaning, the Greek equivalent of Joshua, meaning

that Jehovah saves His people. We are glad that Heaven decided on that name, for it

is full of significance to us sinners.

forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with

us. {they...: or, his name shall be called}

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before

Abraham was, I am. Immanuel:

Isai 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a

virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Image of God..Yet he had a Mom who gave Him a name...

God is With us.. When a bird pecks at your window what is it trying to

say? When God came to earth what was He saying? We had no problem hearing

what he had to say but our problem is with accepting what he had to say .. He is God

who dwelt or lived with us. To reveal to us who God is and can be in our lives..Have

you recognized His name in your life? God will be with you in this life..Join with Him

this morning..

11.He is Jesus

Matt 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name

JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. {JESUS: that is, Saviour, Heb}

Have you received His free gift of salvation? He has come to earth to be

the Savior of the World to save us if we will receive his free gift of salvation of

our own works to being saved "In Jesus." This is the Savior. Recognize His Salvation in

your life.Receive Him into your life .. Because Salvation is a person.. Jesus.

12. He is the " King"

Matt 21:5 Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto

thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

The Humble King came to give Himself a sacrifice for you.. Have you

humbled yourself before Him? Give yourself to Him who gave Himself for you..?

As your King , He is your Soverign, He is your protection, He is your

chosen Leader..,He is your King who we fall before in obedience.

King of Saint

King of Kings

King of Glory

King of Zion

King over all the earth

13. He is the Lamb: Our Sacrifice..

John 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith,

Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. {taketh away: or,

beareth} What sacrifice have you made for your sins.. What can you give that will

be in exchange for your souls? What can you pay or do that will be enough to

satisfy the demands of a Holy God for Holiness and perfection..? Jesus the Shepherd

became the lamb.. The child became the sacrifice for the Mother..He died so that we

may live..Have you recognized by trust that you can not save yourself , but

you need a Lamb to sacrifice..He is Jesus..

Life

Light

Lord of Lords

Lord our Righteousness:The Lamb..

Jere 23:6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell

safely: and this [is] his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Is He your righteousness...?? Will you recognize Him today by the

rightful name that was given to this son by His mother.
