October 1, 2006pm         CPR for the Soul         Psalm 19:7-14

By Ronald E. George Jr. at the Fayetteville Baptist Church

A Home church is a place to:  Come to Grow --  Live  --  and Learn.

Psalm 19:7   The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.  The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy,  making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. 11 By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward. 12 Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. 13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression. 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord , my Rock and my Redeemer.[1]

1.  Life is given.  The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. Life is given through the law of the Lord.  The Law of the Lord is given through life.  The living Word of God came and lived among us and He continues to live with us through the church.  The law is given through you.  A Home church is a place to be revived.  At my home church the law of the Lord is:  Given

2.  Life is encouraged.  The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.  When life gets you down the Lord lifts you up.  Life is revived though the living law of the Lord.  We are lifted up through the love of God through others in the church, family, and the Summit such as with Mr. Hall.  You reap what you sow.  It was easy for the folks at the Summit to help Mr. And Mrs. Hall.

3.  Life is learned.    The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy,  making wise the simple.  How to live and how to die are the lessons to be found in the law of the Lord.  The living law of the Lord as seen in the lives of the believers make us wise.

4.  Life is Enjoyed.  The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.

5.  Life is known by the light to the eyes.  The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes

6.  Life is given hope by the endurance that is forever.  The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.

7.  Life is given safety and security by the sureness .  The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.

8.  Life is given value by the preciousness of the word of God.  They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.

9.  Life is given sweetness and icing because the word is sweet and desirable.  They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.

10.  Life is given fullness through the warning and prophecies in keeping that give great reward.   By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.

11.  Life is given humility.  Forgiveness is asked for and received.  Who can discern his errors? Forgive my hidden faults. 13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then will I be blameless, innocent of great transgression

12.  Life is given a redeemer and a rock.  Life is given guards that prevent permanent failure.  Life is given an option.

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord , my Rock and my Redeemer.

Will you make this your prayer?  Pray that we will follow the Word of the Lord and that we will be the Word of the Lord.

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord , my Rock and my Redeemer.

The response is seen in the request.
