Scripture
Text: Mal.
3:1 (NIV) "See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before
me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the
messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come," says the LORD
Almighty. 2 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he
appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap. 3 He will
sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine
them like gold and silver. Then the LORD will have men who will bring offerings
in righteousness, 4 and the offerings of
1. Why must there always be a fight or a war? It is the nature of the world. Since Cain killed Abel there has been war on the earth.
2. The Wages of Sin is Death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
3. The Coming of the Prince of Peace. He will come again.
4. Who can stand when He comes? Who will be able to say that they are not without sin? Who can say today that they have no sin. I John 4.
5. He will burn away the impurities and cleanse away the dirt.
6. He will purify the Levites. We are the today’s Levites. We are the ones who will be purified today. Judgement begins in the house of God. We will be judged. Remember the Judgement. When I was hungry you gave me food. When I was thirsty you gave me something to drink. When I was naked you gave me clothes. When I was in prison, you came and visited me. Does this not apply to you? Then do what Jesus did and help those who can’t help themselves. This is part of the price of peace.
